Insurance United Against Dementia

Insurance United Against Dementia is an Alzheimer’s Society movement created and championed by leaders from across the insurance industry. We’re raising £10 million to fund vital research to take on the UK’s biggest killier: dementia.

IUAD is driving awareness across the sector of what dementia is, and where people can access crucial support services and advice. We are also guiding insurance companies on their journey to becoming dementia friendly, to better support their people and customers. For more information visit our website, or contact iuad@alzheimers.org.uk to discuss how you can make a difference to the lives of people with dementia

Airmic is pleased to support the Alzheimer’s Society at the Conference. Please visit the Society outside the exhibition hall and find out how you can support them.

The Insurance Charities – your industry charity

Each year the Charity helps hundreds of insurance employees and their families in times of need. They can help with one-off payments, such as household repairs, provide on-going financial help and give practical support to those with health, money and housing concerns.

Working throughout the UK and Ireland they give out over £1.7 million annually. They understand adversity can affect anyone and turn their life upside down. They want to make sure no insurance employee in need of help misses out.

You can find out more on their website www.theinsurancecharities.org.uk

Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB)

One of the UK’s leading sight loss charities and the largest community of blind and partially sighted people.

They recognise everyone’s unique experience of sight loss and offer help and support for blind and partially sighted people – this can be anything from practical and emotional support, campaigning for change, reading services and the products we offer in our online shop.

They’re a catalyst for change – inspiring people with sight loss to transform their own personal experience, their community and, ultimately, society as a whole. Our focus is on giving them the help, support and tools they need to realise their aspirations.

Everyday 250 people begin to lose their sight. RNIB has a crucial role to play in creating a world where there are no barriers to people with sight loss. We want society, communities and individuals to see differently about sight loss.
